This is Smokey Jo, who we were fostering for Bloomington Animal Care and Control.  She was involved in an apartment fire in January and had some lung damage which is now healing.  It took her a while to warm up to us and start eating, but now you can see her roaming our clinic and playing with Scout and Deek.  She still coughs occasionally, and may have healing in her lungs for some time.

At our last staff meeting, we unanimously voted to adopt Smokey Jo.  She actually has improved the dynamics of the relationship between Scout and Deek--mostly because she doesn't take any stuff from Deek and lets him know it!  They are all still getting used to each other, but have been getting along fairly well so far. She can be a bit grouchy sometimes, but is generally very affectionate.
